Electra Pelias

Weaponizing Cuteness

Fabric, foam, digital manipulation

Electra Pelias is a multidisciplinary artist whose scrappy, heartfelt practice blends sculpture, fiber, printmaking, and digital media. She works with secondhand materials to explore emotional tension, combining softness with structural rigidity. Her studio is a world of stitched oddities, broken ceramics, and once-loved objects reimagined with care and humor. Beneath the playfulness lies a deeper engagement with grief, memory, and repair. Electra is currently an MFA candidate in fine arts at George Washington University and Artist-in-Residence at Relume, a woman-owned home goods brand. She also works at the Corcoran, supporting contemporary art while staying grounded in creative community and discourse.
