Mickey Haist Jr.
is a painter and teacher, living in the Southwest with his wife. He started painting during lockdown. Most of his paintings can be considered to be in the abstract expressionism tradition, though lately he has shifted to create pieces with a more visually representational approach. His works have been published by several journals and magazines in the past year. When he’s not lecturing, grading, or painting, he likes to read and cook, sometimes at the same time.
