MAX CAVITCH is a writer, teacher, and photographer living and working in Philadelphia. Recent and forthcoming exhibits and publications of his photographs include: group show, Athens’s Blank Wall Gallery; the 6th Chania International Photo Festival; his photo-essay, “Life on the Delaware; or, Comings and Goings in the Riparian Zone,” in Politics/Letters (1 April 2021, online); and his illustrated interview with Al-Tiba9 Contemporary Art (8 January 2023, online). He is also a frequent photographic contributor to the public-science project, iNaturalist. His illustrated book, Ashes: A History of Thought and Substance, is forthcoming from Punctum Books.
