Through visual storytelling, Larissa Monique Hauck confronts the complexities of queer feminine identity contrasted with the resilience of the natural world. With notional beings that exist among luminous color schemes and altered realities, she delves into the intricacies of alienation and voyeurism that stems from the queer feminine experience. Larissa is a queer visual artist based in Treaty No. 6 Territory. She holds a BFA with Distinction from the Alberta University of the Arts (2014) and a B.Ed. from the University of Calgary (2023). She has been included in events such as Nextfest 2018 (Edmonton, AB), Nuit Rose 2016 (Toronto, ON), and the 9th Annual New York City Poetry Festival 2019 (New York, US). Her drawings and paintings continue to be featured in international publications such as Creative Quarterly (US), Boomer Magazine (UK), Minerva Rising (US), and various others.
