A multi-disciplinary artist and first-generation Palestinian American, Samar Hussaini’s paintings and sculptures are deeply rooted in her heritage and powerfully express the positive narrative of Palestine and Palestinian women. Hussaini received her BA in studio art and art history from the University of Maryland and a master’s in communication design from Pratt Institute. Her work has been showcased in several prestigious galleries, museums, group shows, and solo exhibitions worldwide, including La Biennale di Venezia 2022 in Venice, Italy. She has received multiple art awards, including the Innovative Fine Art Award from the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club and the “Mirror to the World” First Place award at the Alfa Art Gallery. Hussaini’s work is recognized for its profound impact and ability to convey resilience and cultural heritage through innovative artistic expressions.
